沈錫輝,西北農林科技大學生命科學學院教授、博導,國家杰出青年科學基金獲得者,入選國家“萬人計劃”、科技部中青年科技創新領軍人才推進計劃和陜西省特支計劃,旱區作物逆境生物學國家重點實驗室學術骨干,“農業與環境微生物學研究團隊”學術帶頭人,西北農林科技大學“青年英才培養計劃”首屆入選者。
長期從事農業與環境微生物領域的前沿研究,在細菌六型分泌系統的離子轉運與抗宿主天然免疫新功能研究、微生物-宿主-環境相互作用機制與調控研究、耐藥菌防控新策略研究、污染物降解與生物修復、植物內共生微生物促作物抗旱抗逆機制研究等方面取得了比較突出的進展,以通訊作者在Nature Communications、PNAS、Cell Reports、PLoS Pathogens、mBio等國際著名期刊發表SCI論文50余篇。獲授權專利6件。曾作為主要研究人員參加國家重大專項,973,863, 國家自然科學基金等項目的研究。 多次應邀在國際、國內學術會議做大會報告及分會場主旨報告。

1994年獲西北農業大學(現西北農林科技大學)農學系農學專業,學士學位。

研究方向:
主要從事農業與環境微生物學研究,在細菌六型分泌系統的功能研究及效應蛋白鑒定、細菌生物膜形成及運動性調控、植物內共生微生物組及其對農作物的促生抗旱功能研究、芳香化合物降解機制等方面取得了比較突出的成績, 包括 1)首次發現細菌六型分泌系統的離子轉運功能,率先報道了一類離子結合型T6SS效應蛋白在離子轉運和細菌抗環境脅迫及宿主營養免疫中發揮重要作用;2)以谷氨酸棒桿菌為模型系統揭示了分枝硫醇在細菌抗多重環境脅迫中的多樣化作用機制;3)發現細菌鞭毛三型分泌系統伴侶蛋白FliS通過與FlgM相互作用而抑制其分泌,進而影響細菌鞭毛系統基因表達調控,從而揭示了鞭毛系統基因表達的關閉機制。

農業與環境微生物團隊
團隊介紹
西北農林科技大學生命學院“農業與環境微生物”研究團隊依托旱區作物逆境生物學國家重點實驗室,瞄準微生物領域國際科技前沿,緊密圍繞國家戰略需求和區域發展需要,深入開展面向西部旱區農業生產實際的基礎和應用基礎研究,形成了一支學術氛圍濃郁,規章制度完善,年齡梯度和知識結構合理的科研生力軍。團隊現有教授2人,副教授1人,講師4人,博士后、研究生共40余人。
團隊帶頭人沈錫輝教授為國家杰出青年科學基金獲得者,入選國家“萬人計劃”、科技部中青年科技創新領軍人才推進計劃和陜西省特支計劃。
沈錫輝教授在細菌六型分泌系統的離子轉運與抗環境脅迫新功能、植物內共生微生物促作物抗旱抗逆機制、微生物-環境-宿主相互作用機制研究等方面取得了比較突出的進展,以通訊作者在Nature Communications、PNAS、Cell Reports等國際著名期刊發表SCI論文50余篇。研究成果“微生物主動運輸新機制”被中國微生物學會推薦為2017年度“中國生命科學領域十大進展”唯一參評項目。在2017年國家杰出青年基金評選中,作為國家基金委生命科學部唯一來自西部的答辯人并成功入選,也是我校自2012年以來唯一的國家杰青入選者。

博士生司美茹以一作在PNAS,Cell Reports,Antioxidants & Redox Signaling等國際頂尖期刊發表多篇高水平SCI論文,其中一篇被Faculty of 1000推薦,被聘為曲阜師范大學生命學院副教授、碩士生導師。
博士生林金水以一作在Nature Communications(ESI高被引論文),Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology等發表SCI論文多篇,入選陜西高校首批“青年杰出人才”計劃和陜西省 “特支計劃”區域發展人才。
張偉鵬入選中國海洋大學“英才工程”和“優青培育計劃”,被聘為教授、博士生導師。

青年教師張磊自加入團隊以來發表SCI論文20余篇(含雙一流A類文章1篇),主持國家自然科學基金2項,晉升為副教授、博士生導師。
青年教師徐磊來校后已發表SCI論文多篇,申請到國家自然科學基金青年項目、中國博士后特別資助、陜西省博士后特別資助、中國博士后面上資助(一等)和陜西省基礎科學研究項目(青年)等多項資助,累計獲批科研經費92萬元,由其負責的科研項目已取得重要進展,有望沖擊頂級期刊。

本科、碩士就讀于西農,在中科院微生物所攻讀微生物學博士,又在美國普度大學生物科學系作博士后,最終于2010年從武漢病毒所病毒學國家重點實驗室回到母校。一路走來,沈錫輝始終在與微生物“打交道”,闖出了屬于自己的一片天地。
“三年困難時期”
“當時學校正在實施人才強校戰略,我又是陜西人,覺得學校微生物研究基礎很好,回來發展前景廣闊,于是就選擇回到家鄉、回到母校工作。”
萬事開頭難。剛回來,一切都要重新開始,當時無論是經費還是人員、實驗室都比較緊張,而且前三年也沒有文章產出,壓力可想而知。當時和沈錫輝一起到校的張偉鵬碩士,暫時沒有安排住宿,為了不耽誤實驗,就在實驗室地上鋪床堅持了一個多月。
“學校給的50萬元科研啟動經費能保障工作正常運轉,但要想保證科研工作不斷線,還要不斷申請基金等項目。”沈錫輝說,幸運的是成功申請到了基金,又得到了學校一些支持計劃、重點項目等的支持,這對當時正處于爬坡過坎階段的沈錫輝來說,每一筆經費都是雪中送炭。
有了經費,還要有人。當時經常是招到合適的人了,對方突然說不來了,那么當年就沒有博士生了,又得等一年。這種狀況直到2017年以后才有所好轉。
找準研究方向
來校后,沈錫輝經過認真思考,選擇細菌六型分泌系統作為主要研究方向。細菌六型分泌系統在2006年才開始發現,沈錫輝算是進入這個領域比較早的。他告訴記者,無論是在動物腸道還是在植物根系都有很多微生物,因為營養、生長空間等有限,微生物之間也存在競爭,而且經常是你死我活。細菌六型分泌系統其實就是一種競爭的主要武器。有些細菌在腸道或根系的生存能力強,就是因為有這個比較強大的武器。所以就是想通過研究把這個武器的功能揭示出來,以后在工業、農業或者健康方面,通過合成生物學的手段來加以改造、利用。
目前沈錫輝團隊圍繞細菌六型分泌系統主要開展的是理論研究,為將來與學校作物、園藝、動科、動醫等方面的交叉打下基礎。比如腸道里有個病原菌侵染了,沒法治療,但如果找到另外一個菌或者改造一個菌,它有更強大的競爭力,就可以把壞的細菌消滅掉。作物上基本也是這個思路。
微生物菌群不僅有競爭,還有合作。沈錫輝研究的另外一方面,就是微生物之間存在怎樣的“對話交流”,從而達到互相的平衡和諧。“‘和談’不成就會啟動‘戰爭’,像人與人之間一樣。這種對話是否也會跨界,比如說細菌與真菌之間、甚至是細菌和它的宿主之間是如何對話的?這也是團隊現在關注的一個研究方向。”沈錫輝表示。
打造知名團隊
作為學校旱區作物逆境生物學與綠色生產學科群團隊之一,沈錫輝團隊有教授3名、副教授4名,講師2名,博士研究生10余名,碩士研究生30余名,還有部分本科生參與,主要圍繞微生物、分子生物學和生物化學開展工作。
沈錫輝對團隊有著明確的目標,那就是把團隊初步打造成微生物領域國內知名團隊。按照這個目標,沈錫輝認為團隊還需要進一步完善,重點是引進生物信息學、結構生物學方面人才,從而讓團隊學科結構更加完整,競爭力更強。
沈錫輝十分重視學科交叉。學校現有的植物保護、畜牧學兩個一流學科,與團隊微生物方向十分吻合。腸道微生物研究有助于和畜牧學學科結合,植物生防菌研究有助于揭示病原菌的防控機制,能和植物保護學科緊密結合。目前,團隊有關動物腸道微生物的研究已在PNAS、NC等期刊發表多篇文章,植物保護方面目前已和黃麗麗教授團隊展開合作。此外,和資環學院有關專家也開展了合作。“團隊只有跟學校發展方向密切結合才能發展進步。學校微生物研究實力雄厚,希望齊心協力把學校微生物學科做大做強,為學校的學科發展作出我們積極的貢獻。”沈錫輝說。
爭取進入“國家隊”
沈錫輝組建大團隊時間不長,通過外部引進和內部吸收,招收了不少年輕人,團隊整體比較年輕。他認為,年輕人有干勁、有闖勁,要好好愛護、培養,成為骨干力量。比如去年留在團隊的兩個年輕人都做得很好,其他幾個年輕人也都很有發展潛力,要努力把他們培養成國家級青年人才。只有把年輕人培養起來,團隊才能做大做強。
作為團隊負責人,沈錫輝也思考謀劃著團隊未來,如何把這樣一支年輕的隊伍帶好。“基礎研究和應用研究一定要雙輪驅動。下一步我們想在合成生物學方面有所作為。因為合成生物學主要依賴于微生物,目前已上升為國家戰略,將來在農業生產應用等方面前景廣闊。”沈錫輝介紹,目前已有直接把二氧化碳合成淀粉的技術,將來是不是也可以合成油、合成更多蛋白質?學校目前參加合成生物學重點專項的團隊比較少,自己團隊也只是參加了一些課題和子課題。
“我們希望將來能主持合成生物學方面的項目,從而把合成生物學廣泛應用于農業生產。比如在動物腸道和植物根系方面怎樣進行合成生物學改造,提高它的功能。方向選好了,我們研究的問題、開展的工作才會有科學價值,才能真正對國民經濟和農業生產作出貢獻,真正把文章寫在大地上。”沈錫輝表示。
